On September 25, China marked the Mid-Autumn Festival - the most important family-reunion day in the Chinese calendar, and the closest thing we have to your Thanksgiving. Families gather under the full moon, share mooncakes, and send gifts to the people they cannot be with. Our team has been offline celebrating with theirs.
There is a reason our industry watches this date. Mid-Autumn is one of the two big gift-giving moments in the Chinese year - the other is Spring Festival - and silk has been a classic gift here for more than two thousand years. Scarves are what people give to mothers, teachers and close friends, and we see gift-oriented repeat orders build in the weeks running up to it every single year. Watching that pattern from inside the factory is a useful reminder of who our scarves eventually reach.
To every client, partner and friend who has worked with Deqing Boliya Silk this year: thank you. 2026 has been a year of firsts for us - our own website went live, our product range passed sixty styles, and we shipped to more new customers than in any year since 2020. None of that happens without people willing to place a first order with a factory they have not met.
A practical note, since timing matters this month. China's National Day holiday runs from October 1–7. Production, finishing and shipping pause during this window, and carriers run reduced schedules. If you have autumn or winter stock to land before the holiday, please confirm your order by September 29 so we can schedule finishing and book freight without paying holiday surcharges.
We will keep email and WhatsApp monitored throughout the holiday, so you will never be left waiting days for an answer. Samples already in production will not lose their place in the queue.
