Pure cotton scarves: Some color fading is common during the first wash; while this is partly related to the scarf's quality, adding a little salt to the water can help prevent it.

Silk scarves: First, dissolve soap in water-ensuring the temperature is moderate (the water should feel neutral to the touch, neither cold nor hot)-then gently hand-wash the scarf. Avoid vigorous rubbing or machine washing, as these actions can easily deform or damage the silk. After washing, be sure to rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.

Pure or blended synthetic fiber scarves: Never soak these scarves in boiling water. Synthetic fibers cannot withstand such high temperatures; excessive heat often causes shrinkage and deformation, ruining the scarf's original shape and compromising its elasticity.
